When the CCP started taking walk-in customers, we had maybe 1 or 2 customers per week. Yesterday, the day before our Thanksgiving break, we served 9 walk-in customers. CCP student, Kelsey Buss, had the opportunity to serve her brother, home from college on the East Coast, for the first time. Gus greeted the customers with his usual hearty smile and used his visual prompt to say “Hello, how are you?” Then Kelsey grabbed her clipboard full of blank Order forms and pen and got to work. They both did an amazing job! Victoria, our barista for the day, made the orders and Kelsey quickly delivered them to our customers.
We also had a Board member, Blair Decker, his wife, and his mother-in-law who was visiting for Thanksgiving all the way from Dallas, Texas to experience the hard-working CCP students. They watched and admired the students working on all of the Inventories that needed to be completed before Thanksgivings break. It was a good day for our students to shine!
